I truly believe this is one of the best private mohels you can choose for your baby. He came to my home and completed the procedure very quickly—within about a minute. My baby cried during the process,but it was something bearable not crazy.
He also provided all the aftercare supplies and clearly explained how to take care of everything. As a first-time mom, I was very nervous, especially when my baby cried a lot for the first couple of days. I was scared that I might be doing something wrong, but the mohel was incredibly supportive. I texted and called him multiple times—even late at night—and he always responded. He even did video calls to guide me step-by-step, whether it was about diapering or checking a small blood stain, and showed me exactly what to do.

I honestly don’t think I would have received this level of care and personal attention in a hospital. Over time, everything healed well, and my baby is doing great now.

We are a non Jewish family. We were looking for a non medical option for circumcision. After researching we decided to use a mohel for the procedure based on the fact that all they do is circumcisions. After an online search, we had a few phone calls with different mohels. We decided to use Rabbi Markovitz after a brief consultation. He asked different questions than the other mohels and just right off the bat felt like the right gut decision. It’s worth saying I saw that he has personally done tens of thousands of procedures which made me feel confident to go with him over the other mohel services or doctors for that matter, just based on pure experience alone. We are delighted that we chose Rabbi Markovitz. The procedure was fast and effortless. Our baby cried minimally only for about 15 seconds and was very calm afterward. During the procedure our baby made a poop and Rabbi didn’t even flinch, he just calmly performed his work and assured me it was okay. Regarding the procedure he went over in great detail exactly what to expect and after care. Our oldest son's hospital circumcision was terrible,… fewer modern OB/GYN doctors perform circumcision on a regular basis today. So when our second son was born we knew we wanted a different option, but we weren't really sure where to start. We had heard about traveling Rabbis so we did a search and found Mohel Nechemia. Working with him has been fantastic! He didn't require us to give injections that we didn't agree with. Communication has been great every step of the way, keeping up and following up. He helped us figure out exactly when our son was ready, advised us on jaundice testing, and he came to our home which is 4 hours away from Brooklyn, NY. My wife was a little anxious, but he put her totally at ease the moment he arrived. He explained the entire process, answered all our questions, and walked us through the different options. The actual procedure was incredibly quick, easy, and very well done! He's very professional, very personable, and everything was clean and sterilized. Well worth the money to know that it was done right and done very well. We couldn't be happier! As a non-Jewish family, we definitely recommend him to all backgrounds. You won't regret it!

I did a lot of research trying to find the best person to do my circumcision. I found Rabbi Markovitz on a google search. He had great reviews. I wanted to make sure the person that performed this circumcision had plenty of experience. Who better than a Rabbi. I reached out to him and he went over the entire process. I procrastinated getting this done for years. My phimosis was getting worse and I bit the bullet and scheduled the appointment. I was extremely nervous but the Rabbi did a great job making me feel comfortable and honestly it was pretty quick. The thing I liked the best was the consistent follow up. Rabbi Markovits was kind, gentle and compassionate which was comforting to both myself(anxious mother) and my baby. The procedure itself was very fast, only a few seconds. I’d estimate he was only out of my arms for less than 5 minutes for the entire processes of getting everything set up, the procedure itself and then Rabbi Markovits demonstrating how to properly diaper him. By the time he was back in my arms he was entirely settled and fell right to sleep. He showed some signs of fussiness and extra sleepiness for maybe 4-6 hours after the procedure and then returned to his normal self.

My husband and I were looking for someone who would circumcise our baby at one week of age, and we are so happy we found Rabbi Markovitz. Right from the beginning, he was responsive, communicated well, and asked all the important questions to make sure our baby was healthy and ready for circumcision. We ended up having to delay the procedure due to jaundice in our baby, but once he was cleared, Rabbi Markovitz was quick to get us scheduled.

It was wonderful having him come to our home so we did not have to travel with the baby after the procedure. He is very skillful and knowledgeable of the process and explained everything in detail, making sure we were confident with the aftercare.

The procedure itself was hard for me to watch (in fact, I let my husband stay for the actual snipping part and stepped outside) but we're so glad it was done quickly and skillfully. It's only been a few days and we are happy with how well our baby is healing and how everything looks.

Rabbi Markovits circumcised my 3 week old baby and the experience was absolutely incredible! I was not able to circumcise him at the hospital because the doctor said my son had a specific condition in which it was best to complete under general anesthesia at 6 months to a year old.
