He was the youngest mohel ever certified by the Medical Board of the Initiation Society and the Beth Din of London, was ordained by Lord Immanuel Jakobovits, and is Chairman of the Bris Milah Institute. Circumcision Care for Lakewood and Ocean County
What our patients can expect. For adults: a virtually painless procedure under local anesthesia, one visit, no visible external stitches, with a fine natural-looking line as the goal. A 60 to 90 minute appointment; desk work in a day or two; strenuous activity after 3 to 4 weeks. For parents: a calm, quick procedure, done in seconds by hands that have done it 20,000 times, with a plain shield and no clamping device. Local anesthesia is available at every age, and for a newborn it is your choice. Everyone gets written aftercare and Rabbi Markovits's direct WhatsApp through recovery.

If you have been managing phimosis with a steroid cream, in his experience cream-managed phimosis tends to return; he does not offer cream treatment. Circumcision is the definitive fix.
One visit, about an hour and a half away. Your free phone or WhatsApp-video consultation happens in advance, so consultation and procedure are completed in a single appointment at 16 Sumner Pl, Brooklyn. Plan on 60 to 90 minutes. If you would rather not travel, home visits across Ocean and Monmouth County are available for eligible patients, when medically appropriate: he and his team arrive with a professional table and everything needed, he administers the anesthesia and performs the procedure himself, and you recover in your own bed. Newborns and boys are also circumcised at home. No clamping device is used. Local anesthesia is available at every age, and general anesthesia is never used. For newborns, the procedure itself takes seconds.
